Join us for George Geary's presentation of his new book The California-Born Diners, Restaurants, Drive-ins That Changed America Volume 2 1951-Present. George Geary is passionate about history, cooking, and Hollywood. He loves to share that passion with others. He brings humor, energy, and experience to every presentation. His wit and humor make understanding culinary concepts fun and exciting.
George is a former pastry chef for the Walt Disney Company and best-selling cookbook author. His other historical books, L.A.’s Landmark Restaurants, and L.A.’s Legendary Restaurants reflected the historical locals visited by the Hollywood set. George’s previous titles include: Made in California; 125 Best Cheesecake Recipes; The Cheesecake Bible; The Complete Baking Cookbook; and many others.
For 24 seasons, George was the Culinary Coordinator at the LA County Fair. When not in a kitchen, he leads award-winning, mouth-watering culinary tours of major cities in America and Europe. He hassha red some of his favorite recipes with ABC, The Food Network, NBC, CBS, and PBS television viewers. He has also been featured in the pages of every newspaper food section in America.
George can be seen weekly doing food segments on FOX5 San Diego, WGN-TV Chicago, and the Daytime Show on the NBC Tampa Station and has over 1 million followers on his social media:
