History Hunter Discoveries of the Rancho Tujunga presented by Craig W. Durst

March 27 at 7:00 p.m. - at New Life Church of the Nazarene

Craig W. Durst, the History Hunter of the Rancho Tujunga brings his many tales of discovery to the San Fernando Valley Historical Society. Most history hunts come to an end with nothing to show, but rarely, on special occasions, historic treasures reveal themselves. Come hear the stories of history hunts that ended with the uncovering of several interesting artifacts from the past. See these discoveries for yourself and learn of the famous characters that are associated with these finds.

Craig W. Durst served as Bolton Hall Museum's historian for many years. Now he focuses on the distant past of the Rancho Tujunga and the greater Crescenta Valley. He has made numerous discoveries as he regularly goes on History Hunts throughout this area. Locally, he is known as the History Hunter or simply the Town Historian. In 2023, he founded the Friends of Verdugo Hills Cemetery, a 501(c)3, tasked with the upkeep and management of this historic cemetery in the San Fernando Valley. For over a decade now, he has written and presented multi-media shows for historical societies and other groups around Los Angeles. For information on his programs, visit boltonhall.org
