True Tales from Burbank - presented by Michael B. McDaniels

June 23rd at 7:00 p.m. - at the Andres Pico Adobe.

Home to Disney and Warner Brothers, Burbank has a fascinating history beyond the entertainment industry. The program will cover highlights from the third book on Burbank by Wesley H. Clark and our June speaker, Michael B. McDaniels. The first, Lost Burbank, told of the history of Burbank, its people, lore, and cultural attractions. Their second book was “Growing Up in Burbank: Boomer Memories from the Akron to Zodys.” The authors then realized they had more fascinating tales of human interest and humor to share. Some of their fun stories of early Burbank will be the subject of our speaker meeting which will be held at the Andres Pico Adobe.

Michael B. McDaniels, was born and raised in Burbank and has lived in the same house there for 62 years. He has been married for 39 years and has worked for the City of Burbank for thirty of those years. If all this sounds familiar, he spoke to us in March 2018 and we are pleased he is returning to share even more stories of “Los Angeles’ most surprising suburb.”Google “Burbankia” to see amazing photos and stories that otherwise might have been lost. But you can also come to the Andres Pico Adobe to see and hear Michael in person.
